Job Summary: Laborer provides physical labor and support in mining or various operations, with a primary focus on maintaining safety standards and assisting with various tasks on-site. They ensure a clean, safe, and efficient work environment, complying with safety guidelines.
Your Day
Key Responsibilities:
Site Preparation and Maintenance:
Assist in preparing and maintaining mining sites by clearing debris, handling materials, and setting up equipment.
Maintain proper stockpiles of materials and supplies.
Ensure areas are free of hazards and properly maintained. General Labor Duties:
Perform general labor tasks such as digging, shoveling, carrying, and lifting materials.
Assist with excavation, grading, and other physical site preparation activities.
Operate hand tools and power tools to perform various tasks on the site.Workforce Support:
Collaborate with other laborers and team members to complete tasks efficiently.
Assist supervisors and skilled workers with more technical tasks as required.
Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operation.
Your Experience
Skills & Qualifications:
Physical Stamina and Strength: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting heavy materials and standing or walking for long periods.Safety Consciousness: A strong understanding of and commitment to safety regulations and procedures in mining environments.
Basic Tools and Equipment Knowledge: Familiarity with common hand and power tools used on job sites.
Teamwork and Communication: Ability to work collaboratively in teams and communicate effectively with other workers and supervisors.
Work Environment:
Work is primarily performed outdoors, often in challenging conditions such as extreme temperatures, dust, or noise.
The work site may be remote or at a mine, which requires adherence to strict safety protocols. Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift heavy objects, typically up to 50 pounds or more.
Must be able to handle repetitive tasks and work in physically demanding environments.
