Labor Finders FAQs
Getting Started
Q: Is there a fee to work through Labor Finders?
A: No - there is absolutely no fee for job seekers. Labor Finders is a staffing service, not an employment agency. Interested candidates apply to become Labor Finders associates and are placed with client companies at no cost to you.
Q: How do I apply for a job with Labor Finders?
A: Applying is simple - you have two options:
- In person: call or visit your nearest Labor Finders office during application hours. Bring documents verifying your identity and employment eligibility (see the Form I-9 Acceptable Documents list)
- Online: search job openings and apply before heading in.
Q: How quickly can I start working after I apply?
A: Once you have applied and are registered in our system, you will be considered for future work opportunities that match your skillset once they become available.
Q: What documents do I need to bring when I apply?
A: U.S. law requires all employers verify identity and work authorization. You'll need unexpired, actual documents (not copies) from the I-9 Acceptable Documents List. We highly recommend you bring a resume with you, if you have one.
Pay & Benefits
Q: How much will I earn?
A: Pay rates vary by assignment and depend on factors like the type of work and necessary skillset. The rate for the assignment will always be provided before you accept an assignment - no surprises.
Q: When will I get paid?
A: Most Labor Finders offices pay by the end of each workday, however pay frequency may vary be region, branch office, and/or customer account. If a particular assignment follows a different pay cycle, you will be informed before you accept the work.
Q: How will I receive my pay?
A: Pay options vary by state law. Labor Finders offers three payment methods:
- PayCard: a reloadable debit card loaded with your wages at the end of the day.
- Direct Deposit: deposited to your bank account (may take up to 3 days to reflect).
- Check: available at some locations.
Payment options may vary by office. Contact your local office to confirm what's available near you.
Q: Are there any employee benefits?
A: Every Labor Finders employee is eligible to enroll in health benefits such ACA approve healthcare, and (depending on the state of employment) may also be eligible for paid sick leave. Additionally, Labor Finders offers an employee discounts program and 401k.

Q: How do I prepare for my first assignment?
A: Your local office will verbally share specific instructions - including a job description, directions to the site, assignment expectations, any dress code, required gear, and start time - before your assignment begins.
*Safety reminder: some job sites will require steel-toed boots or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Confirm requirements with your local office so you're ready on day one.
Q: Can I choose which jobs I accept?
